Adam has been working in the field of mental health for around 10 years in counseling and advocacy roles. He has performed individual and couples counseling related to mood disorders, addictions, abuse/trauma, cultural adjustment, and relationship/family difficulties. He uses a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, strength-based therapy, and narrative therapy. Adam has advocated for more than one hundred adults with mental health difficulties in their pursuit of Social Security disability benefits.
Adam puts a strong emphasis on collaboration between a counselor and client. This allows the client and counselor to select appropriate treatment goals and explore the best ways of achieving them with a high degree of flexibility. Above all else, Adam insists the therapeutic process is specific and relevant to the client’s most pressing needs.
Adam holds a Bachelor`s degree in Psychology and a Master`s degree in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University (USA).
